Blogging A Blog About Boys: Winston, Cowboys are talking
It was a great offensive tackle class in the beginning. And the future draft is going to be extremely rich at the position also, which is certainly affecting Winston's value.
Dallas is asking for Free to take pay cut
Doug Free is set to earn $7 million in 2013. which includes a the cap of $10.02 million. For the Cowboys, that's more than enough, especially given that Free was the highest-penalized offensive tackle in the Madden NFL 24 last season. Dallas is looking to sign Winston to fill in the job, with Free playing inside to protect. But, while the team has asked Free to accept a salary cut, it's unlikely that he's motivated to agree, given that his cap-to-pay will stay the same if the team decides to let him go.

The first weekend of the 2013 Madden NFL 24 Playoffs are set to conclude with what could be by all accounts, the most thrilling game of the season. There is a huge game for the Seattle Seahawks, playing perhaps the best football in the league, will travel across the country to take on opponents like the Washington Redskins, winners of the last seven games. The main focus heading into the game will focus about the head-tohead battle between two quarterbacks who are rookies, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson. Both have made their arguments for Madden NFL 24's Rookie Of The Year award, but winning that day in Maryland is clearly the more important prize.
In the wake of Seattle's dominance in the final month, the Seahawks begin the game as favourites to win against the NFC East champs. But five of their losses this season were at home, and RGIII should have an additional week of rest to recuperate from his knee injury. A 2011 Heisman winner was clearly hampered in the Redskins' final two games of the season, wearing heavy knee braces that prevented him from running with explosiveness from the backfield. Wilson did not suffer any major injuries in his first season, and has got better each week to get the Seahawks playing well as the postseason begins.
Meet the Redskins
The Redskins begin the postseason riding an eight-game winning streak, after regaining their 3-6 record in their bye game to climb into the upper echelons of the NFC East. Griffin turned around his fortunes for a team which had not made an appearance in the postseason since He also had one of the most boring offenses in the Madden NFL 24. He was a hit from the beginning and enthralled the Saints in the first game and following up as an unnamed captain down the stretch.
Mike as well as Kyle Shanahan dramatically altered their offensive strategy to match the skills of RGIII, making use of the pistol as well as the zone-read option. Chris Brown highlighted the offensive modifications in Washington and the Redskins played it perfectly against Dallas to take victory on the final night of the season. Griffin averages seven yards per carries when using the zone-read, and even using the knee brace he effectively found running room in the middle in the game against Cowboys. Although he's still not at 100 of his potential, Shanahan and RG3 have chosen the best spots in order to force the defense make a decision and he's strong enough to be able to accumulate yards even when he's not at the top of his game.
Of course, RGIII isn't the only rookie who is racking up yards with huge cheap madden 24 coins chunks of the backfield.
