You’re running through Westfall killing WOW Classic Gold Goretusks for their livers because Salma Saldean needs the ingredients for a savory Goretusk Liver Pie. When you go to loot the boar of its liver, you get a red text message in the upper center of your screen that reads “inventory full.” Your bags are filled with loads of junk and you need more inventory space so you can collect livers without a single hitch. This WoW Classic Bags guide will run you through various ways you can increase your inventory space.
WoW Classic Bags | Questing, drops, and vendors.
Whether your allegiance is to the Alliance or the Horde, you will begin to earn bags from questing around level 10. For example, the quests “Carry Your Weight” (Horde) and “Poor Old Blanchy” (Alliance) will each earn you a 4 slot bag upon completion. As you progress your character and eventually hit level 60, some quests will garner you bags with up to 16 slots.
There are also opportunities for bags to drop as you explore the world. The drop rate for these, and really anything in the game, may not be too high, but it is a pleasant surprise to receive a bag for just exploring. Bags like Journeyman’s Backpack (14 slots) and Traveler’s Backback (16 slots) are level 39-53 and level 47-60 world drops respectively. So, while looting may fill your inventory in mere minutes, you may come across a backback that will expand that inventory.

There are also vendors that sell bags if you need them. Gold in World of Warcraft Classic is very important, especially since you need it to learn skills and upgrade your Professions. It is better to wait and just get bags from questing or world drops, but if you are absolutely in need of a bag, you can spend some gold to increase your inventory space.
WoW Classic Bags | Leatherworking and Tailoring
Did you choose Tailoring or Leatherworking as one of your Professions? If so, well you are in luck. As a Tailor or Leatherworker, you can craft bags for yourself pretty early on.
The ‘Linen Bag’ will be one of the first bags you craft Tailoring is your profession. You will need to have a skill level of 45 in order to make it, but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue as linen drops fairly frequently. The recipe for the ‘Linen Bag’ calls for three bolts of Linen Cloth (bolts are made with two Linen Cloth) and Coarse Thread which can be purchased by vendors.
If you decided to go with the Leatherworking Profession, your first option is also a six-slot bag called ‘Kodo Hide Bag.’ Your leatherworking skill level will need to be at 40 in order to make this bag. This uses a bit more resources than the ‘Linen Bag.’ You will need three thin Kodo leather, four light leather, and one course thread.
Crafting bags is not only great for expanding your inventory. It is also a great way to make a good amount of gold. The auction house is your friend. Put bags in the auction house and you will surely make some gold.
WoW Classic Bags | Using the bank and alt characters for storage
There may be items in your on-character inventory that you may not have room for but will need for later down the line. This is where the bank comes in.
Found in capital cities like Orgrimmar or Stormwind, there are banks that allow you to store up to 24 items. Additionally, there are a total of six bag slots in the bank you can purchase to further increase your bank’s inventory. Each backpack slot in the bank increases in price after every purchase. Here are the prices for each slot:
Slot 1: 10 Silver.
Slot 2: 1 Gold.
Slot 3: 10 Gold.
Slot 4: 25 Gold.
Slot 5: 25 Gold.
Slot 6: 25 Gold.
Some players also use alt characters to “increase” their inventory. Players who use this method are typically higher level and buy WOW Classic Gold actually have items that are worth saving. Since bags are not level-dependent, you can give your alt character any bag you want as their inventory.
